ELECTRICAL CABLES
A reliable electrical product starts with the right materials. We use a carefully selected range of cables designed to ensure safety, reliability and high performance across a variety of applications.
The main types include rubber and PVC cables, including versions with a cotton filler or twisted construction, each with specific characteristics suited to the end use.
Available types
Rubber cables (types H05BB, H05GG)
A reliable electrical product starts with the right materials. We use a carefully selected range of cables designed to ensure safety, reliability and high performance across a variety of applications.
The main types include rubber and PVC cables, including versions with a cotton filler or twisted construction, each with specific characteristics suited to the end use.
– EN 50525-2-11
– <HAR> marking, IMQ approval
– Conductor: flexible copper, class 5 (IEC 60228)
– Insulation: PVC type TI2 (EN 50363-3)
– Outer sheath: PVC type TM2 (EN 50363-4-1)
– Rated voltage: 300/500 V
– Operating temperature: +5°C to +60°C
150°C at the conductor (max. 5 sec)
– Good resistance to moisture, light oils and non-aggressive chemicals
– Limited resistance to low temperatures and UV
– Not suitable for permanent outdoor use
– Not suitable for heavy mechanical stress
AWG rubber cables (type HSJ)
HSJ-type cables are mainly used internationally and in applications requiring compliance with non-European standards, particularly North American ones. They are distinguished by the use of the AWG (American Wire Gauge) scale for defining the conductor cross-sectional area.
– UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA standards
– AWG sizing system for conductors
– Suitable for the US and other international markets
– Conductor: flexible copper, sized according to the AWG scale
– Insulation: PVC or equivalent thermoplastic materials
– Outer sheath: PVC or rubber (depending on version)
Unlike the metric system (mm²), the AWG scale:
– Is inverse (the lower the number, the larger the diameter)
– Defines both the diameter and the electrical resistance of the conductor
– Is standardised for the North American market
Indicative examples: AWG 18 ≈ 0.82 mm², AWG 16 ≈ 1.31 mm², AWG 14 ≈ 2.08 mm²
– Rated voltage: typically 300 V or 600 V (depending on certification)
– Operating temperature: 60°C / 75°C / 90°C (depending on the insulating material
and UL marking)
– Good flexibility (stranded conductors)
– High dimensional consistency to the AWG standard
– Compatible with US-standard components and terminal blocks
Wiring for appliances intended for export, lighting and small domestic appliances, control panels and UL-certified assemblies, OEM applications for international markets.
Rubber cables with cotton filler (type 03RT)
These cables feature an internal construction with textile elements, in order to ensure the greatest possible flexibility, particularly useful in dynamic applications (ironing and steam-cleaning sector) or static applications (e.g. interior lighting) where cable flexibility is of primary importance.
– Conductor: flexible copper, class 5 (IEC 60228)
– Primary insulation: EI7 rubber
– Filler: natural fibres (cotton)
– Optional outer covering: textile
– Improves the internal geometry of the cable, reducing deformation and ovality
– Increases stability during stranding
– Significantly improves cable flexibility
– Typical rated voltage: 300/300 V
– Good flexibility
– Easier to process (cutting, assembly)
Multi-core PVC cables (types H03VV, H05VV)
A standard solution for domestic and light industrial use, with a simple construction and broad versatility.
– EN 50525-2-11
– <HAR> marking, IMQ approval
– Conductor: flexible copper, class 5 (IEC 60228)
– Insulation: PVC type TI2 (EN 50363-3)
– Outer sheath: PVC type TM2 (EN 50363-4-1)
– Rated voltage: 300/500 V
– Operating temperature: +5°C to +60°C
150°C at the conductor (max. 5 sec)
– Good resistance to moisture, light oils and non-aggressive chemicals
– Limited resistance to low temperatures and UV
– Not suitable for permanent outdoor use
– Not suitable for heavy mechanical stress
Single-core PVC cables (type H05V2)
Flexible single-core cables used for wiring, or individually covered and then twisted together for use in the lighting industry.
– EN 50525-2-31
– <HAR> marking, IMQ approval
– Conductor: flexible copper, class 5 (IEC 60228)
– Insulation: PVC type TI3 (heat-resistant – EN 50363-3)
– Rated voltage: 300/500 V
– Operating temperature: +5°C to +90°C
160°C at the conductor (max. 5 sec)
– Excellent flex life
– Not suitable for permanent outdoor use
